Bath Conservatives are undertaking a major cross-City survey of resident opinion to help inform their plans for Bath as Lockdown finishes and the City starts its recovery from the impact of Covid.
Copies of the survey are being posted to selected households, while the survey itself is available to be filled in online at https://www.bathconservatives.com/covid-recovery-survey
The effort to gauge residents' opinions comes against a backdrop or rising anger at what some are calling the current Council administration's haphazard, unfair or misleading consultation on a range of issues, including plans for open spaces, traffic restrictions, and cycling and walking plans.
Former Combe Down Councillor and BANES Cabinet member, Bob Goodman, said: "The current Council is not listening to residents. Time and again it is running so-called consultation that excludes people who aren't computer-literate, or asks loaded questions to fix the result. And if there is an answer they don't like, the current Administration ignores it. It's not good enough. Bath deserves better than this as we work at rebuilding after COVID."
The survey covers issues including the NHS, Government support during the pandemic, and invites views on the gradual loosening up of lockdown rules.
