I lives in Bath with my husband and for over six years since becoming a full-time resident I have actively campaigned on behalf of Lansdown with a positive attitude and record standing up for Bath and the Lansdown community- demanding better for residents.
As an immigrant from the Dominican Republic and British citizen by choice, my passion for Bath, a place that has been part of my life for over 20 years, has encouraged me to give back to our diverse and welcoming city through politics and community activism.
I am a business-minded creative with degrees in Economics, Fashion Design and an MA in History of Fine and Decorative Art. I am an Author, Creative Director and Brand Strategist specialising in the Interiors Industry. As a walker and lover of green spaces, I founded the Friends of the High Common, in 2018 to protect Bath’s historic High Common a great source of well-being, for all users across the wider Bath community.
As someone who has had battles with depression, I find living in Bath uplifting and knows many others do too. Bath is a tonic and needs protecting and enhancing.
I campaign to restore the historic fabric in Bath. On my street, symbolic though it may seem, reinstating lanterns and overthrows that had been taken down during World Ward II, was but the first action in a series of long-term plans. I secured funding for the planning application in an area of Grade I listed buildings from Bath UNESCO World Heritage Site and technical support and payment for the drawings from the Bath Preservation Trust with great support from residents who paid for individual lanterns and overthrows for their buildings.
I believe in personal responsibility, entrepreneurship, equality of opportunity, and values transparency and democratic access in local government.
